Exeter Minimally Invasive Surgery

The programme was founded in 2005 and continues to be led by Mr Saj Wajed, Specialist Upper GI Surgeon based in Exeter. There is a full-time research fellowship programme based in the Department of Upper GI Surgery at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and in conjunction with the University of Exeter Medical School.

EMIS has made significant international contributions to the current understanding of complex Upper GI conditions and has facilitated the progress of technical advances in surgery to the ultimate benefit of patients.
